Uniqlo x Jil Sander +J Fall 2010 Cont.

+J CONT. I didn't want to squeeze too many pictures into one post so, here is the other jacket that I bought from the collection, the Wool Round Hem Jacket in Grey. It is an oversized fit (I think) and it's round hem hence the inverted v opening when unbuttoned.

Uniqlo x Jil Sander +J Fall 2010

+J. I bought two jackets from the Uniqlo x Jil Sander +J Fall 2010 collection, this Wool Texedo Jacket in blue is one of them. Well at first I had my eyes on the Wool Wrapping Jacket in camel, but then it hit me that all of these jackets are very well tailored pieces which can last a few seasons, so I gave up the seasonal camel and went for one in blue and grey.

Elizabeth and James

Everyone knows who the Olsen twins are, what about their fashion brands? The Row, very high-end and luxury and Elizabeth and James, a more contemporary and affordable line inspired by their very own vintage wardrobe. 

I am not a huge fan of their style, (after all not a lot of people can pull of the rugged high street look with Hermes) but I do occasionally fall in love with a few of their outfits. Anyway, the other day my friend sent me a link to the Saks sales website, too late obviously all the goodies were gone. However I continued browsing and came across the shoe collection of Spring 2010 of Elizabeth and James. 

I am totally in love with this pair of Peep-Toe d'Orsay Wedges. Although they are wedges, the colour, the ruched texture still scream total elegance (imo).  But the recent overload of online retail therapy made me hesitate. First, I have never bought shoes online, since you can never try it on. Well lets just put it this way, not trying on shoes and buying them is risky business. Secondly, just by looking at it cannot convince me to buy them at US$335, after all I am still a student. Probably when they are on sale? I don't know.

Elizabeth and James is available in Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, not sure about their shoe collection though.

CNY

So this Chinese New Year has been terribly terribly cold (for me) in Hong Kong. I didn't necessarily go to a lot of places but I have chosen to run around in a pair of heels. 

This is my first time wearing a pair of Coach heels and I tell you they are surprisingly comfy. 

The aprox. 4-inch wedge and a weird cushiony sole made looking tall (considering I'm so petite) and sliming legs and running around all possible. Yes, they are probably a bit granny looking but then what more can a girl ask for? 

With beige cashmere sweater Peninsula, black skinny jeans Topshop and black leather jacket Calvin Klein.
