Pink hair (before going ginger)

I finally dyed my hair pink (or tried to). I have been warned that it won't last, especially on black hair. Apparently black hair turns orange if the bleach was not left in for long enough, fearing that my hair would just break and fall off - as thin as it already is - my hair is probably going to turn ginger when the pink washes off.

Mint green Acne jacket, AA leggings, Salvatore Ferragamo loafers, Alexander Wang Kristen Satchel and a blob of my pink hair

Icecreamist, South Piazza, Covent Garden, WC2E 8RF London

After weeks of rain (A few wet weeks vs two dry years! Okay okay...) I finally got the chance to wear my Acne jacket. I have been on the hunt for the perfect spring light jacket and when I tried this on at the Acne Archive in Stockholm I couldn't part with it. The colour and the fit is just perfect (very difficult to find a perfect jacket being petite).

I also paid a visit to Icecreamist, the ice-cream parlor infamous for the "Baby Gaga" breast milk ice-cream (ew). Taste-wise it was nice, mind you not the breast milk ice-cream. But judging by the little swab of ice-cream (see photo above) I got, I felt scammed. :@

The Paradox

Where do you draw the line? This is no contemplative thoughts of life but it happens to everyone. Going out is no fun without getting drunk. But sometimes it is so easy to get beyond drunk that you would forget all the fun you had. Which leads us back to the beginning – what is the point of having fun and then forgetting about it? (Well surely amazing friends will be there to remind you about all of the embarrassing moments while you are still hungover, but still.) Paradox. Paradox.

This is something I wore for a random night out in Hong Kong. Never could pin down what me and my easily distracted and spontaneous friends would end up doing prior to the evening. But what you wear doesn’t have to be a hit or miss. What I have learnt is to have both the appallingly casual and extremely dressy elements, then you’re good to go.

I have had my eyes on this YSL Chyc clutch in Paris but ended up buying it in London, wanted to see if they had more colours. But no, still this boring brown. As I have been told by the sales associates (Paris and in London) that this clutch flies off their shelves. I (brainlessly giving in) bought the boring brown. On the bright side, boring goes with everything.

The most comfortable pair of black heels I have. Look how old and battered it is.

To bag or not to bag

Most of the traditional footwear labels try their hand at handbags; without doubt they can make awe-inspiring shoes but handbags? Not so much. I am only judging by aesthetic reasons here not from a monetary point of view. Their handbag lines still exist for obvious reasons, it is one of the most lucrative businesses in fashion.

I think Jimmy Choo should quit handbag production entirely – their designs look like what high street brands would do and the only remarkable bag might be the acrylic clutch, credits only given to the creative choice of material. Christian Louboutin shoulder bags are lucky to live off the popularity of the studded peep-toes and loafers. Salvatore Ferragamo has some nice arm candy but no one really pays attention. All but Roger Vivier, the Miss Viv handbag range has done well with the unmistakable rectangular metal buckle. On top of that, what more publicity do they need when the First Lady of France is a keen devotee?

Some Monday late lunch

REFLECHIR. Finally I had some time to stop and think, finally I gave myself a work free week (and felt terribly guilty afterwards). My friend and I went to a restaurant in LKF on Monday, she does a great F&B blog by the way. Disregarding the fact that we had to climb up a few steps, well maybe more than a few, she wore 4" heels, oh the sacrifices women make for fashion... and food.

Green lace

GREEN LACE. Military green in lace, a safe choice to avoid looking like you are wearing lingerie, especially when not sporting the lingerie as outerwear trend. (There's supposed to be some detail at the top, turns out I was fooled by the Topshop website)

Earthy Ruffles

RUFFLES. I knew I had to have this earth toned rufflely vest when I saw it in the H&M advert. It was layered perfectly with an aviator jacket in the ad, but I guess it should work as well for now. (Please do excuse my all wrinkly tank.)

The Shiny Slash

SLASH. I bought this gold slash ages ago without knowing what to do with it, I guess black and neutral tones are fail proof.
