Pink hair (before going ginger)

I finally dyed my hair pink (or tried to). I have been warned that it won't last, especially on black hair. Apparently black hair turns orange if the bleach was not left in for long enough, fearing that my hair would just break and fall off - as thin as it already is - my hair is probably going to turn ginger when the pink washes off.

Mint green Acne jacket, AA leggings, Salvatore Ferragamo loafers, Alexander Wang Kristen Satchel and a blob of my pink hair

Icecreamist, South Piazza, Covent Garden, WC2E 8RF London

After weeks of rain (A few wet weeks vs two dry years! Okay okay...) I finally got the chance to wear my Acne jacket. I have been on the hunt for the perfect spring light jacket and when I tried this on at the Acne Archive in Stockholm I couldn't part with it. The colour and the fit is just perfect (very difficult to find a perfect jacket being petite).

I also paid a visit to Icecreamist, the ice-cream parlor infamous for the "Baby Gaga" breast milk ice-cream (ew). Taste-wise it was nice, mind you not the breast milk ice-cream. But judging by the little swab of ice-cream (see photo above) I got, I felt scammed. :@

Mint Green and Fuchsia

Zara Mint Green Vest Top with metal tipped collar, Uniqlo cashmere sweater, Prada boots,  Alexander Wang Kristen Satchel

St James' Park, London

It did not occur to me that I very conveniently left all of my white clothes in Hong Kong until last week when it felt like summer was just around the corner. So I asked my mother to send me my white jeans, and then remembering I also forgot about my white tops (oh nooo my T by A.wangs). Indeed very annoying, but instead of asking her to send me another care package full of white clothes, I decided it was time for me to abandon whites. I have been steering my purchases towards the other side of the colour spectrum as of late. Finally breaking out of my comfort zone after years of wearing white in spring and summer. Buh bye you dull colour.

2012

Happy New Year.

I was certain that I had post holiday depression to start off my new year. Quite possibly I am too old for all those fun and games. New year's eve was a confusing all nighter with my Giuseppe heels cutting into my feet - I could not wear proper shoes for the next two days. Simply pulled this outfit to match my mood, which was easy since I have the most depressing wardrobe ever.

Aldo shoes
H&M leggings with plastic inserts (Never really liked them, impossibly warm for the summer. But ever since a friend mistook them for a pair of epic over the knee boots I started to wear them more often)
Alexander Wang Kristen satchel
American Apparel heather grey V-neck tee
+J jacket

Fall 2011 Trend: Orange

This winter forget about boring blacks and go for brights, all kinds of gem colours as well as... orange (Yes, just in time for Halloween). Think autumn leaves, warm apple cider, caramel, pumpkin soup, zesty tangerines and clementines.

For me it all started with a fluffy orange jumper in H&M, it was a little oversized, snug and with a wide boatneck, always what I look for in a jumper. Unfortunately it was part angora so I had to let it go, wouldn't want orange fur to get all over the place in my already messy wardrobe.

Burberry Brit Cocoon Coat in Bark Red  I saw it in the Covent Garden store and it was a perfect pumpkin shade. Lovely tailoring, double breasted with epaulettes makes it more youthful which is not always found in cocoon coats.

3.1 Phillip Lim Wrap-effect silk crepe de chine dress Bright slinky wrap dress for both day and night.

COS Boiled Wool Dress and Patterned Mohair Jumper I am quite obsessed with COS items these days, the way I see it is simplicity with a twist (most of the items at least). These two pieces add just enough vintage cool for this fall.

Alexander Wang Red Suede Ankle Boot These highly coveted boots were sought after for quite some time, a slightly shorter alternative can be found from Kurt Geiger.

ASOS Pleat Skirt in Neoprene Full skirt made even more flouncy with the neoprene, cute length.

Mother The Looker low-rise cropped skinny jeans Neon coloured skinny jeans are here to stay.

The Kooples High Waisted Shorts with Leather Strips I have not really seriously looked into this brand until I stumbled into their store on Rue Vielle du Temple in Paris mainly because of their handsome and welcoming sales person with his very heavily accented english. In turn I found out not only did they have very cool advertising campaigns, handsome sales force and very handsome clothes. British dandyism for both ladies and gents with a french twist, très très très chic.
Can do no wrong with high waisted shorts either.

Monsoon Felt Floppy Hat I am not a big fan of hats, but there's this thing with floppy hats, one can pull down the rim and peer at the outside world like a movie star.

H&M Cashmere Jumper and Knit

No worries going pumpkin for Halloween, it's so now.
