Season's Greetings

Merry Christmas. My Christmas eve was rather uneventful (not that I was expecting it to be eventful) - just like any other night but with party poppers and confetti that get stuck to your hair. Christmas dinner was very enjoyable and romantic with a couple of friends, I was wearing this faux fur gilet from Zara Kids. It must be massive for a child because it's a little oversized for me. I guess being petite means you can shop in the kids sections, good news right?

I also had on this stars ear cuff from ASOS, for a moment my friend thought I was going punk - first the extensions now the ear cuff, not sure what's next!

Fall 2011 Trend: Orange

This winter forget about boring blacks and go for brights, all kinds of gem colours as well as... orange (Yes, just in time for Halloween). Think autumn leaves, warm apple cider, caramel, pumpkin soup, zesty tangerines and clementines.

For me it all started with a fluffy orange jumper in H&M, it was a little oversized, snug and with a wide boatneck, always what I look for in a jumper. Unfortunately it was part angora so I had to let it go, wouldn't want orange fur to get all over the place in my already messy wardrobe.

Burberry Brit Cocoon Coat in Bark Red  I saw it in the Covent Garden store and it was a perfect pumpkin shade. Lovely tailoring, double breasted with epaulettes makes it more youthful which is not always found in cocoon coats.

3.1 Phillip Lim Wrap-effect silk crepe de chine dress Bright slinky wrap dress for both day and night.

COS Boiled Wool Dress and Patterned Mohair Jumper I am quite obsessed with COS items these days, the way I see it is simplicity with a twist (most of the items at least). These two pieces add just enough vintage cool for this fall.

Alexander Wang Red Suede Ankle Boot These highly coveted boots were sought after for quite some time, a slightly shorter alternative can be found from Kurt Geiger.

ASOS Pleat Skirt in Neoprene Full skirt made even more flouncy with the neoprene, cute length.

Mother The Looker low-rise cropped skinny jeans Neon coloured skinny jeans are here to stay.

The Kooples High Waisted Shorts with Leather Strips I have not really seriously looked into this brand until I stumbled into their store on Rue Vielle du Temple in Paris mainly because of their handsome and welcoming sales person with his very heavily accented english. In turn I found out not only did they have very cool advertising campaigns, handsome sales force and very handsome clothes. British dandyism for both ladies and gents with a french twist, très très très chic.
Can do no wrong with high waisted shorts either.

Monsoon Felt Floppy Hat I am not a big fan of hats, but there's this thing with floppy hats, one can pull down the rim and peer at the outside world like a movie star.

H&M Cashmere Jumper and Knit

No worries going pumpkin for Halloween, it's so now.

Hello September, hello (supposedly) fall

So here we are, in the midst of September, the beginning of fall, SS12 fashion weeks. I have let myself live a fairly lazy life for the past 1.5 months. No blog, no reading, no gym (yes, I haven't been going to the gym at all, that's how lazy I've been). I did write a post about my summer staples on my (lost) Blackberry, grief stricken by my lost phone, I felt like I lost my mind together with it (no, just kidding). But this unfortunate accident did make my desire to do nothing prevail over my determination to do something. When I finally gathered my thoughts again, I realised the post that I have written was on my (lost) Blackberry, so I lost all of my motivation to do anything again, until now.

It is September but I would still wear racer back tanks with mid or high waisted shorts almost every single day. There aren't too many wardrobe options in the Hong Kong summer (even though it is supposed to be fall now). Another summer go to of mine are sleeveless blouses, the floaty lightweight fabrics are just perfect for the sizzling humid weather.

White sleeveless blouse Cheap Monday

I was loving the Helmut Lang asymmetry so I bought this more affordable adaptation asymmetric blouse just in case my love for asymmetry died the next morning.

Dusty pink sleeveless blouse from ASOS

Love this blouse, hate the plastic buttons. Well can't expect too much from 8 pounds.

Earrings House of Harlow 1960

Been sporting these earrings the most this summer (not really an earring person, too lazy). These are just the right amount of sparkle and just the right amount of cool.

My School Bag

BAG TO SCHOOL. This very old-school school bag will accompany me this year. It is the largest from the Cambridge Satchel, but don't be fooled it does not hold much more than a Bayswater.

(White mesh tank Calvin Klein, Grey jeggings ASOS, White brogues Steve Madden, Satchel in vintage brown Cambridge Satchel Company)
