Kids, if any of you are reading this, please be aware that this is a bad example. I speak from years of experience. I have a self-diagnosed addiction to television. Over the years, I thought my addiction would gradually come to an end as teen dramas – the likes of Gossip Girl, 90210 and the Hills – die out, and that I wouldn't start to watch anything new. Boy, I was wrong. Now this is one urban myth.

As a student I thought it was borderline acceptable to watch so much TV as long as I didn't fail anything. Then came life of the working girl (supposedly). I knew this behaviour had to stop there and then. Elementary was an exception, who can resist Sherlock’s genius and British accent? I love a good detective drama, too. Under the influence, this is my Sherlock outfit – there is just something about that almost monochrome palette and that almost doctor’s bag that give a certain private eye vibe.

這是典型的反面教材，兒童切勿模仿。我的電視癮問題存在已久，久沒治愈 ，這是我多年來的經驗之談。本來我天真的以為隨著《緋聞女孩》、《90210》、《好萊塢女孩》等屬於（我）青少年時代的產物逐一完結，同時間不再開始看新的電視劇，我的電視癮就可以慢慢痊愈。但如此被動的方式怎可能有效，然後，就沒有然後了。

一直認為作為一個學生，看太多的電視劇也是勉強可以接受的，盡了學生本分就可以。後來開始職業生涯就終於醒覺，也是時候跟電視癮道別。當然凡事總有例外，最近開始追看《福爾摩斯》，Sherlock的頭腦和英式發音實在讓人著迷。熏陶下，我的穿著也有所改變。這天我的裝束跟福爾摩斯碰巧神似，硬是覺得黑白灰沈實色調和這個仿醫生包具有偵探格調。

I do have an embargo on down coats, except for those in disguise. Down outerwear is the warmest thing ever, without the need to look like a wild life creature. But I just can’t get myself to like all that Bibendum – more commonly known as the Michellin Man – silhouette. Rick Owens coats are of the rare breed, such slimming effects (courtesy of the skinny leather sleeves) yet so warm at the same time. Most down outerwear just doesn’t come as edgy as this, Moncler Gamme Bleu/ Rouge as an exception, obviously. And no, the Moncler main line is just puffy pomposity blowing out of proportions. Really.

我真心不太喜歡羽絨服，除非是完全不像羽絨的羽絨服。根據早前的angora（安哥拉毛）事件就能推斷出時尚圈終於開始保育，真皮草已經不太時尚，而羽絨大衣就變成最溫暖的選擇，但我就是接受不了那種米芝蓮人輪胎身影。Rick Owens外衣都獨具特色，穿著羽絨大衣依然是瘦子，顯瘦皮革袖子應記一功。普遍的羽絨大衣除了Moncler Gamme Bleu/ Rouge以外也是沒什麼設計感，而Moncler主線就不值得一提了。

Zara November 2013 Lookbook

Pheobe Philo Celine 2013秋冬系列的確有不少驚喜，至少這個Celine女人經過多季非常有亮點時裝experimentation，終於找到屬於自己的優雅定位。簡潔剪裁，柔和用色，在俗世裡而不世俗，而且更是今季最流行穿搭靈感來源，從Zara十一月的lookbook就知道了。

原來早於1926年就有位經濟學家發表Hemline Index，就是以當時流行的裙擺長度預測股票市場。那以最近流行的及膝裙子長度又代表什麼呢？另外，不論此長度如何時尚如何備受追捧，對於個子不高的女生來說及膝或更長裙子也是頗為尷尬的長度。

自從我開始更認真地喜歡時裝後，就發現時尚和對直男有吸引力是兩碼子的事，直男大概都不懂欣賞女性時尚的多變及幾分難捉摸。所以美國著名時尚博客Man Repeller這個博客名稱也是改得沒錯，有時候太時尚就讓大部份直男彈開三丈遠，而且更會被冠以購物狂這個惡名。Fashion never sleeps? 偶爾不時尚，旺一旺桃花也不為過。

Who can forget the warmth Phoeobe Philo delivered at AW13 Celine? It was clean, stripped down elegance yet cozy and romantic. It was also the origin of the look of this season. Hence, the carbon copy Zara November look book.

As much as the drop of the hemline has been bolstered, I am sceptical about how ‘great’ it is. I mean, first things first (believe it or not) there is the Hemline Index, the drop of the hemline also indicate a crash of some sort. There is also this height problem – to an average height woman (by any standards) it says prim, proper and very very reserved. As fashion as it gets, I have to say this is the look of the season and this new (and a little awkward*).

There has always been a great debate about being fashionable and attractive – that is, to the straight male population – at the same time. Simply put, whatever deemed fashionable is not necessarily attractive to the opposite sex. Henceforth, the name of renowned fashion blog Man Repeller. Are there exceptions, though?

Quarter life crisis

Moving back to Hong Kong made me realise how difficult it is to actually have a teeny tiny voice in this tiny dot on a map. There are next to none creative outlets, no wonder why there are so many "bloggers" and bloggers. In this suffocating city to continue to have your own thought and to have some kind of a life is such an unattainable task. I would like to have my life back. And I would also like to take a moment to figure out what I actually want in life. Thank you. 

回到香港讓我了解為何這小小的地方可以有這麼多怨氣、示威，原來表面上是大都會現實中要保留自己的聲音、思想很難。難怪越來越多人選擇freelance工作，只有不受僱於人才會有那麼一點的時間去尋找自己的觀點。最近我決定了我要慢活，尋回自己的人生目標，祝我好運。

FALL SUNNIES. These shades are from the Celine Spring 2011 collection, but the colours are so perfect for fall aren't they? I especially love the Original Sunglasses. It's official, WhoWhatWear just named them the 'hottest shades around. Period.' and I can't agree more. I have been frantically searching for more info on these sunnies for weeks but I had no idea what the name is so it was rather unsuccessful, after all if you search 'celine sunglasses' on Google a million things come up. 


Anyway, now these sunglasses are getting the amount of attention that they deserve, in magazines, in blogs, on celebs... and they are flying out of the stores! I visited the Celine store yesterday and on the wall for sunglasses there were nothing but two pairs of sunnies and only one pair of Original Sunglasses (in military green by the way, lovely colour). However fret not, I think only a particular colour or material is limited, and according to the sales lady at Celine they will be restocked soon. So if you are interested in these chic sunnies be sure to look out for them!

Ring haul

These days I am totally into rings, hm actually maybe I have always been into rings. Wearing something on my fingers is like an everyday habit of mine. So here are the rings that I bought recently:

Both from Accessorize, these rings are the smallest size but doesn't really fit me, so I would wear them with a smaller ring to prevent them from falling off or just wearing them on my thumb.

And from Aldo. They actually carry rings that fits me which is really good news. Their rings are pretty nice too, but I didn't want to buy too much in one go so I chose these two. The double ring on the right is just gorgeous.

Here I am wearing one of the Aldo rings with a Dior bug ring stacked with a ring from my grandmother because Dior doesn't carry my ring size anymore (BUT they carry really pretty rings so I still buy them).

Here is the Aldo double ring with the silvering from Accessorize and my old and battered Tiffany Lock ring. They all go pretty well together eh?

I thought all those colours would match this huge ring from Celine.

And then there's also this large pearl ring from Topshop and the new 'I love you' ring which i got with the bf from Tiffany (love love ♥) I wear this most of the time nowadays. 

And thats about it for new rings, now last but not least its summer time...

...which also means salad time!
