Digital Flagships

WHAT'S NEXT? Going digital, online and all kinds of e-marketing is an inevitable and clichéd turn in all kinds of industry. Especially in the fashion industry, where the aesthetics, the visuals are of utmost importance. Its all about the 'image' ever since the downfall of couture.

Gucci launched their new digital flagship believing that "it will become our highest-volume store in the world", President and CEO Patrizio di Marco tells WWD.

The digi-world might not take over for now, but undeniably Burberry's groundbreaking 3D campaign (which is quite fun to look at) and pretty much every major designer live-streaming their shows allows masses to reach fashion (and vice versa). With trend systems and fashion databases like WGSN and Stylesight, seriously, pay attention and you won't miss a thing around the globe.

Gucci also takes live streaming to the next level, RSVP as their virtual guests to the S/S 2011 show on Gucci Connect. The show goes live on Sept 22nd at 8am est.
