Fall 2010 Colour Trend: Gold

Another colour trend this fall? Nippon Vogue fashion and creative director Anna Dello Russo says gold, either in form of a whole piece or as small details. This trend is easily spotted in the Fall 2010 shows: shiny, matte, sheer, sparkly or burnished; sequins, embroideries, embellishments, ornaments and all kinds of mixed materials.

The gold tint is found on the Fall 2010 runway of Balmain, Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, Moschino and more. Both Balmian and Alexander McQueen opted  for a more poetic and medieval sense with embroideries. Obviously McQ does have a more opulent way with a total look and the extravagant golden feathers coat. Lanvin tried burnished gold with silver and leopard prints, a modern woman with a jungle vibe. Moschino paired black and white with gold also with a touch of the 60's.
